Big Ruthie's Soul Food, Inc. is a family-owned Caribbean restaurant located in Patchogue, New York, on Eastern Long Island. Our journey began with Ruthie Mitchell Ellis, the head chef, who has nearly 50 years of experience in cooking and specializes in authentic Caribbean soul foods. The menu includes classic comfort foods such as jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantains, ackee and saltfish, and curry goat. Ruthie's passion for Caribbean cuisine and her mastery of dishes like jerk chicken, rice and peas, and plantains make her food a must-try. We are dedicated to sharing the rich and flavorful Caribbean soul food through our restaurant.
